Acum 6 ani spuneam cu toata convingerea ca nu as putea sa renunt in veci la carne, oua, lactate si peste. 😬  Pe principiul ”oricum mananc orice si nu ma ingras, cu sanatatea stau bine, energie am…”

Si atunci motivatia a venit din oprirea procesului de degradare a corpului. Fara a intra in amanunte aici, cred ca fiecare dintre noi isi poate gasi un motiv suficient de puternic pentru o schimbare majora a obiceiurilor care ne definesc normalitatea de zi cu zi.

Trecerea de la o dieta carnivora la una vegetariana se poate face brusc sau treptat,  cu un regim ales la intamplare sau sub indrumarea unui nutritionist.

Alegerea mea a fost de a imi lua ramas bun de la carne intr-o zi de marti, acum 6 ani, in februarie, si de a intra in procesul de detoxifiere urmat de un regim de 6 luni, dat de un nutritionist, sub indrumarea constanta a acestuia.

La oua si peste am renuntat mult mai tarziu, treptat, intr-un mod natural. Inca poftesc la gustul de pizza, parmezan, mozzarella di buffalo si nu ma abtin sa ma bucur de ele. #pizzalove 😍

Cum ti se schimba viata? Cu pasi repezi…  Am descoperit o gramada de legume si seminte, retete de salate si shake-uri, aparatura necesara in bucataie, sare de Himalaya si uleiuri presate la rece. Si suplimentele.

Descoperi ca sunt putine restaurante unde poti merge si manca altceva in afara garniturii sau a salatelor. Si ca prietenii ramasi la vechile obiceiuri incearca sa te convinga sa iti reiei regimul alimentar anterior, sa redevii om “normal”. Mi s-a parut interesant cum majoritatea prietenilor mi-au blamat noua dieta, au catalogat-o un moft care poate dauna sanatatii si au incercat constant sa ma faca sa ma intorc la vechiul stil de viata.

Dupa ce iti schimbi tot ce ai in frigider, in camara, continui cu electrocasnicele, adica schimbi toata bucataria, urmeaza restaurantele in care nu mai calci, prietenii care nu te mai invita la gratare, farmaciile in care nu mai intri.

Cresterea imunitatii este evidenta, boom-ul de energie se manifesta prin sportul pe care il faci din ce in ce mai des, mai mult si mai divers, prin conectarea la natura. Apar noi prieteni, fie vegetarieni, fie mai toleranti, noi restaurante si o gramada de informatii care te fac in fiecare zi sa crezi ca esti novice, ca nu stiai ce bun e turmericul pana alaltaieri sau de ce sa bei suc din iarba de orz zilnic. 💚

Sa fii vegetarian ajunge de fapt o normalitate, o obisnuinta. De la alimentatia vegetariana pana la cosmeticele bio, renuntarea la cafea si yoga in fiecare zi e o doar un pas de cateva luni sau ani, in ritmul fiecaruia, intr-o comunitate din ce in ce mai constienta de propriile nevoi, de ce “cere corpul”, de gandire pozitiva si de concentrare pe ceea ce simti iesind din dogmele societatii in care traim.

My vegetarian lifestyle a inceput asa si in fiecare zi descopar lucruri noi si ce pot face ca sa imi imbunatatesc stilul de viata 🍀

6 years ago I never would’ve thought that I would be able to give up on meat, eggs, fish or dairy. 😲 I used to think: ‘’I can eat whatever and not get fat, I’m healthy, I have energy…’’ 💪

My motivation came from wanting to stop the body’s process of degrading itself. Without going into further details here, I think that each and every one of us can find a strong enough of an incentive for making a major change of habits that define our daily lives.

I chose to say adios to meat on a Tuesday, 6 years ago in February, followed by a 6 months detox process, made by a nutritionist, under his constant guidance.

I discovered that there are way fewer restaurants where you can eat something else and not only side dishes or salads. I also discovered that friends who had my old lifestyle tried to convince me to go back to my previous eating habits, to go back to being a ‘normal’ person. Interestingly enough, they were judging my new diet, they labeled it as a ‘’stubbornness’’ that can seriously damage my health and they constantly tried to make me go back to my old lifestyle.

After some time, being a vegetarian ends up being totally normal, even a habit. From a vegetarian diet to bio cosmetics, from giving up coffee and practicing yoga on a daily basis, these are steps that can be taken in a few months or even a few years, at our own pace, in a community that is more and more aware of its own needs, of what the body asks from us, of positive thinking, of concentrating on what we feel, and of overcoming the dogmas of today’s society. 🙏
